'Pathways' exist for prospects AND members; they're are a really useful tool to create automated emails that get sent at specific times after a member joins/registers.
For example, you might set out a simple pathway such as:
Joining day + 1: 'Welcome to the gym, glad to have you aboard, did you know.... ' (etc)
Joining day + 5: 'Your first week of membership is nearly complete, how have you found it? Did you try our...' (etc)
Joining day + 7: 'All new members qualify for a free class after their first week of membership, which will you choose!? We have...' (etc)
Of course this is just a trivial example, but you can see how new joiners might feel more valued, welcome, and engaged if you devise a good 'member pathway' for them!
