We have recently introduced the ability to enable multi-site access for our UK/Nomical customers that have more than one gym! This simple-to-use feature is granted to your members via their membership package, and all packages now have a new setting to enable or disable this type of access.
From now on, if you create a new package with this feature turned on, any new customers who sign up to this package will automatically be granted access to any of the sites you own.
In this situation, there is nothing more for you to do.
You can also grant multiple-site access to any of your existing members too - due to technical limitations, however, ANY existing members who want multi-site access will need to be 'refreshed' in the Membr platform using the simple update procedure described here.
As the multi-site feature is tied to packages, you first need a package that has the feature enabled. You need to decide whether to:
- Update an existing package and turn its multi-site feature on (in theory this gives multi-site access to everyone else on the same package, but only when a member is 'refreshed' as per the Refresh topic below), OR
- Create one or more new packages with multi-site access enabled, and selectively 'upgrade' members from any existing packages onto the new ones
Update an Existing Package
To update a package, head to the Sales->Packages menu, locate the package you want to edit, and choose Edit from the settings menu to the right of it:
The new setting can be found at the bottom of the Access Details tab (press Next to skip through the tabs to get to it, and ensure you also advance to the Confirmation step to save/update the package when you're done):
Create a New Package
Alternatively, you can create a new package in the usual way (Sales->Create New Package) and then enable the two Access and Multiple gym toggles shown in the screenshot above.
Refreshing Your Members
Now that you have a new or existing package with multi-site access enabled, it's time to push the changes onto specific members. Until you perform this 'refresh', existing members will only have access to the gym site where they originally signed up. To refresh a member, simply locate the member you want to update, and view their profile:
1 - If you created a new package, choose Change Package first, and move this member onto the new package you created earlier (note that their payments will not change)
2 - Whether they're on an existing package or a new package, click the Update button, Suspend the member, click Update again and then Unsuspend the member to force the access system to notice this member's new powers!
That's it, you're done!
