A: If a potential member has not completed their signup, the system will remember them by their email address when they do try to join again. Once they enter their contact details into the sign up page, they will be sent an email to continue their sign up. The web address in this email will look like this:
This code can be generated in two ways:
- By clicking the 'continue sign up' button on a pending member's profile (this will navigate directly to the web address)
- When the member attempts to sign up again from scratch using the same email address
Once a new weblink has been created, the member will be able to use this to continue their signup.
However, if a member is experiencing issues using the new weblink, this is likely due to multiple weblinks being generated (as each one is unique).
For example, if I (as a member) send myself a sign up weblink which is https://testgym.membr.com/login#/continue/568cced42ddbd, then I will need to use this immediately. If I try to sign up again and send another weblink, or if a member of staff clicks on the 'continue sign up' button, a second weblink will be generated (for example, https://testgym.membr.com/login#/continue/568ccf4b75360). This would expire the first weblink (ending ddbd), and trying to use it will direct you to the log in screen and will show the following message:
So if a member tells you that using the link is directing them to the log in screen, this is what is happening, and sending (or generating) a new link for them to use immediately is the best way around this. You can also copy and paste the link into your own browser to ensure that it is still working.
