Each member is assigned a risk status, based on a calculated risk of them cancelling their membership or leaving the gym. Their risk status can be seen on each member's profile, and is calculated based on gym attendance:
There are five possible risk categories that a member can fall into:
• New Member
• High Risk
• Average Risk
• Low Risk
A 'New Member' status is given to a member who has fully joined the gym, and their risk status is in the process of being calculated. It is also possible for pending members to have a 'New Member' risk status, and this is shown for people who are ex-members of the gym, and they have started the rejoin process.
A 'Pending' risk status is used for new members who have started to sign up, and then dropped out before completing payment. When the user continues their registration and completes payment, their risk status will change from 'Pending' to 'New Member'.
'High Risk' members are those who change their gym attendance patterns, or those who do not form any type of patterns in their gym usage, and are therefore at a higher risk of leaving or cancelling their membership.
'Average Risk' members are those who use the gym, however their pattern isn't regular.
'Low risk' members are those who have a fairly regular pattern using the gym, and are of fairly low risk of leaving.
How the risk status is calculated:
Then the attendance is assessed for the past 7 days, compared to the data previously collected for the member.
These figures are divided and then multiplied by variants (which include the members age and sex).
This provides a risk percentage:
• Low Risk is 70-100%
• Average Risk is 40-70%
• High Risk is 0-40%
The risk status of members can also be viewed when searching the member database (Navigating to Members > View all Members), as seen below:
